Get ready for Chamber of Commerce Election. Ballots will be sent out the first of November for Members to select a Board of Directors for the 2009 term. Lindsay working toward more economic growth..

Christy Dixon with the Department of Rural Development spent sometime in Lindsay recently. Dixon is the Southwest Rural Development Specialist with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. She spent the day with the Lindsay Chamber of Commerce touring Lindsay and the many things it has to offer. She will be working closely with the chamber to help us pursue projects that would benefit our community. For instance, at the present time an international manufacturer of wind energy equipment and products has engaged the State of Oklahoma to search for potential manufacturing sites. She has submitted information to us and the chamber would be glad for any input or volunteers who are interested in helping with new community and economic development. There are many opportunities available and by hosting Christy to our town the chamber the chamber has taken steps toward a favorable beginning. Become a volunteer and help us help you!
